The second floor has another full bathroom very similar to the first floor
"pink flamingo" style. There are two bedrooms and a second full
kitchen. Rules prevent the new home owner from using the upstairs kitchen
so the plumbing had to be disconnected.

For some reason, there is a full kitchen on the second
floor. Regulations required the new home owner to disconnect the
plumbing so this leaves a big decision...what do you do with a room that
is a kitchen, but cannot be used as a kitchen? Anna keeps
trying to talk the new owner into putting in a wet bar and sauna.
We would visit a lot. |
| Something that you rarely see in newer construction is
a built-in. This unit has shelves above and three roomy drawers
below. I guess now days, we like to be able to just shove a pile
of stuff into a big ole closet. Maybe in 1924, people had more
time to fold towels and clothing for this type of storage space.
There is a bedroom just to the right of this picture
with the kitchen to the left. The "pink flamingo" style
bathroom is also immediately to the left as well as stairs leading up to
the huge, open attic. |

At first I thought this little door was access to a
second floor electrical breaker box. I was surprised to see that
it is a laundry shoot. This leads directly to the basement, right
next to the washing machine. The former owner had even fashioned a
little rod with a hook to unclog the shoot.
This is located directly between the two upstairs
bedrooms. |
