Show us what you have rescued!

We live in a world when most people see something by the side of the road and think it trash.  There are a few of us who see potential. Take a look at just a couple of examples of treasures found on trash day.

Did a little sanding, replaced the cloth and have enjoyed this chair for over ten years.

Directors Chair

Just about everyone on the planet had a director's chair at one time.  This one happens to be made of beautiful wood that had been painted white. I found a pocket knife on the road and used it to scrape off the paint.

PS: That green carpet used to be all over our house.....

Side Table

It is amazing what you can fit in a Honda hatchback. Found this along the road and stuffed it in the back just before it began to rain.  Spent about $2 on sand paper, used a can of urethane on the shelf and have a pretty neat table.

Side Board

I think from the side construction of this sideboard that it was made in the 40's  Had to replace the center of the top, scrape off 4 layers of paint, then used Danish Golden Oak to finish.  We love this in the bathroom.

Show us what you have found on the side of the road and restored to health!  Be sure to include how you found the thing and what you had to do and spend on repair.   Contact OHNE
