3RD Floor Bathroom | Plumbing Interesting challenges Right now, there are several things that have to be done before we can go
ahead with the floor. The electrician has to come back and move two You can tell from the picture that the waste pipe to the basement is in place, but still needs to be completed. The electrical wire coiled to the left are two new lines run by the Electrician. Next to the wire is the original cast iron waste pipe venting the second floor bathroom. That pipe continues through the roof, something we hope to avoid with the new bathroom. It is scary enough to think about having to punch a hole in the roof for the bathroom powered vent. No, have no idea who is going to perform that delicate little job for us. Next to the cast iron pipe is yet another pipe, this time of tin. We believe it used to be the vent for a bathroom in the basement. There is little evidence of that basement bathroom today except for some capped water pipes. It may have only been a toilet. NO WAY! We would like to retire some day so there is no way we will ever think about putting yet another bathroom in this place! Top
